Privacy Policy
Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC, doing business as AI for Nurses.
Last updated August 19, 2026. This policy applies from the date it is posted.
AI for Nurses is operated by Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC, a limited liability company doing business as AI for Nurses. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC. "You" means anyone who registers for a session, attends one, joins our email list, or contacts us.
This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
1. What this policy covers
It covers the aifornurses.org website, the registration pages we host through our email platform, our live online sessions, any paid workshop or multi day intensive we run, the surveys we may invite you to complete, and the email we send you.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Registration details. Your name and email address, and any optional information a form asks for, such as your role, your organization, or your state.
- Anything you write to us, including questions asked before or during a session.
- Survey responses, where a survey is offered. Surveys are voluntary and are described to you before you begin.
- Payment details, for paid sessions only. These are collected and processed by a payment processor. We receive a record that payment succeeded and the details needed for our accounts. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Email engagement. Our email platform records whether a message was opened and whether a link was clicked.
- Session attendance. Our video platform records the name and email you join with, when you joined and left, and anything you post in chat or the question panel.
- Ordinary web data. Pages we host may record standard log information and set cookies needed to make the page work.
3. What we do not want, and do not collect
We do not collect protected health information or any information that identifies a patient, and we ask you never to give it to us.
Our sessions teach nurses how to use AI tools safely, and a large part of that is what must never be entered into one. Please do not put patient information into the chat, the question panel, a survey, an email to us, or any tool during a live exercise. If you send us information of that kind, we will delete it and ask you not to send more.
We are not a HIPAA covered entity, and we are not a business associate of your employer. Attending a session does not create either relationship. Your obligations to your employer, your facility, and your licensing board are unchanged by anything we teach.
4. Why we use it
- To run the session you registered for, and to send you joining details and reminders.
- To send follow up materials from a session you attended.
- To send occasional announcements about future sessions, which you can stop at any time.
- To take payment, issue receipts, and keep the accounting records the law requires.
- To improve the curriculum. Survey responses are analyzed in aggregate. We remove identifying details as soon as we practically can.
- To meet legal obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers, and they process information on our behalf:
- Kit (also known as ConvertKit), for registration pages and email delivery.
- Zoom, for live sessions.
- Google Workspace, for our own email and files.
- A payment processor, once paid sessions are offered.
Each has its own privacy terms. We share only what the provider needs in order to do its job.
We do not sell your personal information. We never have. We do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, and we do not give your name or email to another organization for its own marketing, including any organization that hosts or promotes one of our sessions.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, information may transfer with it, and this policy will continue to apply until you are told otherwise.
6. Recordings
A live session may be recorded, so that people who registered but could not attend can watch it later, and so we can review our own teaching. If a session is being recorded, we will say so out loud at the start.
You are welcome to keep your camera off and your microphone muted, and most attendees do. Anything you type in the chat or the question panel may appear in the recording. If you would rather your question was not attributed to you, say so and we will handle it that way.
7. Email, and how to stop it
If you register for a session, we will email you about that session. If you join our list, we will occasionally email you about future ones.
Every message includes a way to opt out, and you can also simply reply with the word "remove." We will take you off the list. Opting out of announcements does not stop the practical emails about a session you have already registered for, such as the joining link.
8. How long we keep it
- Registration and attendance records: up to three years, so we can tell who has attended what.
- Survey responses: identifying details removed as soon as practical. Aggregate results may be kept indefinitely.
- Payment and accounting records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Email list membership: until you opt out, plus a minimal record that you opted out, so we do not add you back by mistake.
9. What you can ask us to do
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw consent to a survey. You can leave the email list at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. We will honor any of these requests from anyone who asks, whatever state you live in, and we will not charge you for it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, which usually means replying from the address we have on file.
10. Children
Our sessions are intended for working nurses and nursing students, and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and registration is intended for people aged 18 or older.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, we keep the number of people and systems touching your information small, and we use established providers rather than building our own. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here with a new date. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell the email list rather than rely on you noticing.
