Terms of Service
Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC, doing business as AI for Nurses.
Last updated August 19, 2026. These terms apply from the date they are posted.
AI for Nurses is operated by Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC, a limited liability company doing business as AI for Nurses. In these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean Battee Strategic Ventures, LLC. "You" means anyone who registers for a session, attends one, or uses materials we provide.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By registering for a session, attending one, or using anything we give you, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not register.
2. What we provide
We run live online education for nurses about artificial intelligence: what these tools are, what they are useful for in nursing work, how to get a usable answer out of one, and the boundaries around patient and organizational information.
- Introductory sessions, which are offered at no cost.
- Paid workshops and multi day intensives, which may be offered to individuals or to organizations. Where a session is paid, the price, the dates, and any deposit will be stated in writing before you commit.
3. Registration and eligibility
- Registration is intended for people aged 18 or older.
- Please give accurate information when you register.
- Your registration and joining link are for you. Please do not share the link or post it publicly. If your colleagues would like to attend, they are welcome to register.
- We may cancel a registration, or remove someone from a session, if these terms are broken.
4. No continuing education credit
Our sessions do not provide continuing education contact hours, and cannot be submitted toward license renewal, unless a specific session states in writing that contact hours are offered and names the accredited provider awarding them.
We say this plainly because our audience is a licensed one and the assumption is a fair one to make. If you need contact hours, check before you register rather than after.
5. Education only, and not professional advice
What we teach is educational. It is not clinical advice, legal advice, compliance advice, or a substitute for your own professional judgment.
- You remain responsible for your own practice, your own documentation, and your own licensure.
- Nothing we teach overrides your employer's policy, your facility's policy, your collective bargaining agreement, or the rules of your licensing board. Where they conflict with something demonstrated in a session, they win.
- Check your employer's policy before using any AI tool for work. Many organizations have one, and some have restrictions that are stricter than the law requires.
6. Patient information is not permitted
Do not enter, type, say, or share protected health information or any patient identifiable information during a session, in the chat, in the question panel, in a survey, in an email to us, or into any tool during a live exercise.
Sessions are attended by people from many organizations, and exercises are performed in third party tools. There is no version of this in which sharing patient information is safe. We may remove a participant who does it. If it reaches us, we delete it.
7. Third party AI tools
We demonstrate tools built and operated by other companies. We do not control them, we are not responsible for them, and they may change, add charges, or stop working without notice.
Your use of any such tool is between you and that company, under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Anything you enter into one of those tools is governed by that company's terms, not by ours. We choose what to demonstrate on the basis of what is useful and what is available at no cost at the time, not on the basis of any commercial relationship.
8. Fees, cancellation, and refunds
These apply only to paid sessions.
- Fees, dates, and any deposit are stated in writing before you commit, and payment is due as stated there.
- If you cancel more than 14 days before a paid session, you receive a full refund. Within 14 days, we will offer you a place at the next equivalent session instead, or a refund at our discretion.
- If we cancel or reschedule, you may take the new date or have a full refund.
- For an organizational booking, a deposit reserves the dates and may be non refundable where it has already been committed to travel or to third party costs. Where that is the case, the written proposal will say so before you pay.
9. Our materials
Slides, handouts, exercises, prompts, recordings, and written follow up materials belong to us and are protected by copyright.
- You may use them for your own professional practice, and share them within your own team or unit.
- You may not resell them, publish them, present them as your own, use them to run your own paid training, or use them to train a machine learning model.
If you would like to use our material more widely than this, write to us. The answer is often yes.
10. Recording
We may record a live session, and we will say so at the start when we do. You may not record, screenshot for publication, or redistribute a session or its recording without our written permission.
11. Conduct
Sessions should be a place where a nurse can ask a basic question without embarrassment. Please be respectful of other attendees. We may remove anyone who is abusive, who disrupts the session, or who shares patient information, and we may do so without a refund.
12. Email
Registering for a session means we will email you about that session. You may also choose to join our list for future announcements. You can leave at any time, including by replying with the word "remove." See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.
13. Disclaimers
Our sessions and materials are provided as is. We work hard to make them accurate and current, and this field changes quickly. We do not warrant that anything demonstrated will remain available, will behave the same way tomorrow, or will suit your particular setting. We do not guarantee any outcome, including any improvement in your work, your efficiency, or your career.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost income or lost opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with a session is limited to what you paid us for that session, or one hundred United States dollars if the session was free.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Indemnification
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because you broke these terms, in particular by sharing patient information or by redistributing our materials.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and the revised version will be posted here with a new date. The terms that apply to a session are the ones posted on the day you registered for it.
18. If part of this is unenforceable
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
